GK STEEL

In 2006, KGC invested $32,000,000 USD in Erbil, Kurdistan and built a state of the art steel manufacturing plant. Our vision is to aid in the construction effort in Iraq by transforming scrap metal into the high demand product of rebar. We currently have the capacity to buy scrap metal and can produce over 6,000 tons of rebar each month. We are also looking into expanding our production capacity to 10,000 tons of rebar a month.

Our product mix is as follows: 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm and 25mm.

The main goal of this development project was to find a way to create revenue by becoming a stake holder in rebuilding Iraq and in turn, helping reduce the Army's footprint. This is accomplished daily by clearing out all of the metal trash and excess equipment in Iraq. This process recycles a much needed construction material and thereby contributes significantly to the reduction of the effects of the second Gulf War over the past seven years.

We are aware that the majority of USG Contractors do not have an actual plan of how to remove scrap metal and that this issue might become a concern of the US Military in regard to the closing of existing contracts.

Thus, we are currently searching for partners who we can collect and remove scrap metal from. Through this partnership we can help remove this metal waste from the Iraqi countryside and contribute to the re-construction of Iraq.
