KGC also provides specialist supervised construction labor services, with a current database of more than 25,000 experienced personnel that includes former employees and external candidates, allowing us to undertake all types of construction, maintenance and shutdown contracts. Safety
KGC shares safety philosophy, which is interfaced with our client's own safety policies and procedures. KGC management is accountable for providing the safety process, practices, structure, equipment, supervision and training, so that employees and sub-contractors are free from the risk of workplace injury and illness.

KGC workers act as defacto safety officers, required to report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to their KGC site supervisor, or HSE staff from the client or KGC. Workers have the right to stop work whenever HSE violations are observed which could jeopardize the well being of personnel, equipment, or facilities.

KGC gives achieving the highest standards of Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) performance the utmost importance and makes this a key organizational objective. Improvement in safety procedures is constant, as we are continually auditing our sites and completing on-site work observations of our peers' work practices. We recognize the benefits of effective OSHA management, both in human and economic terms.

Planning
KGC construction and maintenance believes planning and scheduling is absolutely critical for achieving a successful outcome on any project. Project plans are developed for use by the client, project manager and the project management team.

Planning requirements for complex projects can be very diverse, encompassing any of the following disciplines:

Scheduling
We use Microsoft Project and Primavera as our primary scheduling tools. These packages are selected to suit the client's request, or the complexity of the project to develop a project schedule. Careful consideration is given to develop the project Work Breakdown Structure and to detail the activities sufficiently to a manageable and measurable level. This enables us to include major contract milestones and deliverables, to allocate resources for meeting the desired level of control and monitoring.

On major projects, the scheduling process runs parallel to the estimation stage, which enables base lining a fully resourced schedule and establishes control almost at the point of award of the contract.

Together with our clients, we develop maintenance agreements and programs that leave them free to focus on their core business of production, while we take responsibility for keeping plant and equipment in peak operating condition. These agreements are designed to encourage continuous improvement and shared benefits with clients.
